i just watched this vid of people de-furring animals. as in skinning them. while their still alive. sigh, i really don't understand. why is there such demand for animal skin? i mean, in ancient times there was a real reason for skin; clothing for survival. but at least the cavemen killed their mammoths before taking thier fur! in the vid, the animals were alive. i mean, in today's society, with synthetic polyesters and plant material such as cotton, we have many other alternatives to fur. so why fur?

huh? why fur? tell me all you rich, snobby fashionistas and gay designers living in Milan or Paris. why fur? because it makes a bold fashion statement? because it shows human superiority over the other animals in the world? how 'bout if a bear takes your skin just as a throphy? and the worse part? people who wear fur and can afford it are probably those that just wear clothing once and then dump it. is it worth it? sacrificing a life so you can look good (so you think lah) at some social event? it is so not. and so freaking un-glam to wear the skin of another living thing. not as if you don't have your own. why? jealous you pimply, rough skin not as nice as a snow leopard's divine coat is it? huh? huh? well, deal with it. there's such a thing as trying too hard. and it makes you look stupid.

urgh. i can never understand the fasion world. all for looks. and the models themselves rarely look good.
