TIRING OUTING
whew. this weekend has been one heck of an adventure. let's begin with saturday.
woke up to meet justin and maryse for breakfast at cafe cartel. went home, bathed and then it was off to meet wen jun. here comes the cute part. i anticipated wen jun's job would be very slack, so he could like hang out with me or something. but..apparently not! i sat at borders for 8 HOURS. gosh. i finished reading,
1 600+ page novel titled Next. about genetic engineering and crime.
2 books on Arsenal.
1 Foxtrot comic.
1 Futurama comic.
1 Simpsons comic.
and..another comic which i fould pretty much morbid.
and finally, it was 9! wen jun knocked off, and we headed for dinner. i had this volcano ramen thingy. i really cried when i ate it, so spicy.
after dinner, headed to take bus to east coast for night cycling. we managed to catch 36, BUT, we got down at the wrong stop. so we were contemplating whethere we should walk there or wait for 401 (which is the only direct bus into east coast park). seeing that 401 was taking way too long, and that we might get lost walking, we decided to take the next 36 bus to the correct stop. AND AGAIN, by some freak hapenstance of murphy's law, 401 passed us completely, just as we got out of 36. and that was the last bus. cursing our luck, we walked around and tried to find a way in. seeing that the underpass was too far, we raced pass the main road (which almost, seriously, killed us). and finally, we were there.
rented the bikes and started off. we decided to follow this convoy of bikes headed for Esplanade. cycled cycled cycled. it was really tiring, but it felt real good. on the way back, my tire burst. lucky me. and i gave it my all, to cycle about 3/4 of the return journey of a flat. when it was really too much, i passed my bike to carson, and i took his. thanks carson.
upon reaching east coast again, we were faced with the task of pushing or rather, carrying the bicycle back to Macs, where we intended to go rest. let me tell you, it was great body conditioning. hahaha, i dont know why, but that inspired me, and so im really gonna get serious about my preparation-to-be-a-dragon-boating-captain plan.
oh well, we're home now. wayne and shawn are sleeping in my room. lunch was hearty. and i feel sleepy. till next time then! of yeah, for all the exhausting stuff we did last night, we only slept for 3 hours. crazy.
